On my recent trip into Portland, Oregon to visit one of my favorite dispensaries at Americanna RX, I was hoping to find something rare and wonderful to put me in a mellow mood. Within minutes of browsing the shelves, I came across a new flavor that caught my attention in the OG’s Cake Batter from Beehive Extracts in collaboration with Sugarbud, both out of the Rose City, for $24 USD a gram. To give you a little strain lineage background, the OG’s Cake is a hybrid cross of True OG Kush and Wedding Cake and the mashup is said to be delicious as well as devastating.
I decided to use my Mobius Glass Bubbler for this session and as soon as I opened the jar to the OG’s Cake, I knew I was in for something special. This Badder looked like golden snot and as gross as that sounds, it looked amazing. As I dug my nail into the extract I was more than pleased with the consistency as she was easy to work with. Once my fat dab made contact with the quartz banger I knew I was in for a ride. I instantly found myself choking which led to sweating profusely from my forehead which is always a good sign. After a few minutes of catching my breath and getting my bearings about me, I was lifted. This was some heavy-duty wax and had me baked for a solid two hours from one good dab. Throughout that time, my chronic neck and back pains were a thing of the past and I had a calming relaxation about me. As for the flavor, the OG’s Cake was delightful with wonderful notes of earth and sweet wedding cake with hints of skunk and pine and could be tasted on the tongue well after exhale.
Overall, the OG’s Cake Batter was a wonderful treat that exceeded all my expectations. When it came to her taste and pungency, the OG”s Cake was delicious and had a wonderful profile of earthy and sweet goodness that left me wanting more so for that reason I gave her a score of 9.3/10. In regards to her strength and potency, this is where the OG’s Cake made me a believer as she had me as high as anything I’ve sampled this year so I gave her a score of 9.6/10. At the end of the day, the OG’s Cake is a potential cup winner that will easily destroy those of us with high tolerance so I definitely recommend the OG’s Cake for a wonderful nighttime smoke session. If you see this on a shelf near you grab it as the OG’s Cake will not disappoint.
